Test & Validation on-site
Year 2013 - Tools used n° 1 - False Positives 0
Validation testing of the seismic monitoring station’s characteristics, with particular reference to the alarm thresholds, conducted at EUCENTRE – European Centre for Training and Research in Earthquake Engineering – Pavia – (“In order to evaluate the sensitivity and correct response of the detector, five low-intensity vibration tests were conducted with different alarm threshold settings for the tested device. A recording of the 2009 L’Aquila earthquake was used to excite the shaking table.”)
Scientific collaborations: Prof. Alberto Pavese – Eng. Filippo Dacarro – Eng. Roberto Franzolin
Year 2015/2016 - Tools used n° 6 - False Positives 0
Installation of monitoring stations on the Five-Arch Bridge with UNIPA – Italtel – Sidercem – ANAS – vibration and static assessments
Scientific collaborations: UNIPA – Prof. Eng. Scibilia et al.
Year 2020/2023 - Tools used n° 8 - False Positives 0
Installation of a series of monitoring stations in the segments of a large dam to verify the instrument’s response to the significant vibrations induced by the sudden influx of large quantities of water. Tests were carried out for 24 months with the technical and scientific collaboration of the PoliTO. The instruments are still installed for static and dynamic monitoring purposes.
Scientific collaborations: PoliTO – Prof. Eng. Bernardino Chiaia – Prof. Eng. Giulio Ventura et al.
Year 2020/2025 - Tools used n° 24 - False Positives 0
Installation of seismic monitoring stations on bridges and viaducts of the road and motorway network in the Sicily Region: A29 – A29/dir – A19 – SS 114 – SS 193 – SS194 – Installation of monitoring stations on the Trapani railway overpass and the A29/dir.
